Broccoli Salad (Nelda Sipes)

Ingredients:
Salad:
1 head broccoli, chopped into pieces
¼ cup raisins
¼ cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
4 green onions, cut up
4 slices bacon
Dressing (I just use these amounts as a
starting point and then adjust it to my tastes):
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sugar
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Combine and refrigerate first three salad ingredients.
Put onions into sealed bag in refrigerator.
Fry bacon and crumble.
Shortly before serving, mix mayo, sugar and vinegar and let get room temp (or just use a new jar of mayo so that it’s not cold. It mixes easier when the mayo is not cold).
Mix all together just before serving.

Note: There is also a store-bought dressing you can buy – Marzetti’s cole slaw dressing tastes very similar. It’s in the cold case by the vegetables.
