Napa Cabbage Salad - Lydia Cotten

First:
2 packages of Ramen noodles broken up (do not use the seasoning packages that come with the noodles)
1/4 c. sesame seeds
8 oz. Sliced or slivered almonds
Brown the above in 1 stick butter.
Set aside to cool.

Next:
Slice thinly 1 head nappa cabbage (this is different from
regular head cabbage)
Slice thinly 1 bunch green onions (about 6-7 onions)
Toss together and place in bowl.

Then:
Boil the following together until the sugar dissolves.
Then COOL. Store in refrigerator.

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. rice vinegar (I used plain white vinegar)
2 Tbsp. soy sauce


All three parts can be prepared ahead of time.
Up to 15 minutes before serving, toss everything together.
